Throwback Thursday

Hey everyone, sorry this is being posted so late in the day.

Throwback to when I was 14 years old! Fun fact, I haven't really grown much since...other than a bit pudgier....and my face really hasn't changed that much. Fun facts about this picture:

 1. This was taken at a Job's Daughters sleep over with my bethel in the lodge we meet at.
 2. That lodge is really creepy with all the lights out, so whenever we do a sleep over we always keep the "accent" lights on
 3. This was right after I got my hair dyed professionally for the first...and only, time ever.
 4. The black/blonde hair girl right behind me is my friend Katie
 5. I cannot remember who is sitting in the chair, but the person in front of it is named Allison
 6. I remember that night Allison wasn't feeling good because of medication
 7. Me and my friend Alyssa always used to sleep next to each other at sleep overs (as you can see by the picture of us sleeping below)
 8. The adults for some reason always loved taking funny pictures of us sleeping...
 9. We always acted like idiots at sleepovers and dancing like lunatics while blaring 'Nsync and Backstreet Boys
 10. I still hang out and keep in touch with a not of the people there that night
And here is the sleeping picture:

I hope you guys enjoyed this throwback thursday! Let me know in the comments.

Have an awesome weekend <3 Kimmie

What my Boyfriend Does Better than Me

Idea Bank #128: Describe something your spouse or partner does better than you.

This one really isn’t that hard to figure out for me. Johnny is really good on the computer. He programs and all that crazy stuff and is also good at gaming.

These two things he excels at. He does freelance coding as a side job and is pretty good. I have done a little bit of coding for work in the past but I had someone walking me through every step of the process and I forgot most of what I learned :/.

Also, he has been gaming for pretty much his whole life. His steam account has over 100 games vs. mine which only has about 20. When we are gaming together I am in my little corner having newbie difficulties while he is kicking butt. He is still teaching me to get better and we do game together. One of the games we like to play multi player on is 7 Days to Die. (7DD is basically a zombie horde game built like MineCraft.)

I hope you guys like this silly little, random post about me and Johnny. If you like these prompt posts let me know. I love getting comments from my readers.

Hope you all have a great day!

One of my Favorite Fictional Characters

Goood afternoon Interwebbies!

This is a really random post that I decided to do that I may continue into a series...who knows. Anyhow, I just decided I wanted to talk about one of my favorite fictional characters that I adore, look up to and am inspired by. That character is Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds.

First off, Criminal Minds is one of my favorite tv shows! I have just recently started the series from the beginning to watch it straight through from beginning to current. Now, onto the focus of this post:

Penelope is a technical analyst at the Behavioral Analysis Unit, the center of the show, and she is just quirky, flamboyant, fun and just an amazing comic-relief in the show. She always makes funny quips when she answers the phone like 'The Office of Unmitigated Superiority'. She is one of the more emotional members of the team which sometimes makes her job harder but, for me, makes her more relatable and like I can connect with her.

I love how connected she gets with the other characters and is kind and builds family style relationships with the rest of the team. She is always cracking jokes and making the team smile.

Penelope in the show is one of those "dangerous or useful hackers" that the FBI took advantage of having her on their side. She is a computer genius! Another fun point is that Penelope has an interesting flirtationship with one of the other characters Derek Morgan who is her best friend and it is always funny to watch them interact on the show.
"And a wise black man once told me: baby girl, you be trippin’."

Happy Easter Everyone!

Hey all, I hope you are having a wonderful Easter! A.k.a Zombie Jesus Day, a.k.a Decapitated Bunny Day. Haha

For today I got up really early to participate in an Easter service held at the Shriner Auditorium. I have done this for the past several years but this was the last year they are doing it because turn out has dramatically decreased over the years.

Other than that I just spent the rest of the day cleaning in my room and doing homework. Kinda boring I know.

One comment that did make my day was my friend Christian joking about how "pothead christmas and christian/pagan holiday are on the same day."

I know it is a short post but I at least wanted to write something.

Lets talk about that GIF!

That awkward kiss cam moment when....

I saw this on my feed and thought it was the funniest thing ever! First off, that this guy was even prepared for this was like intense forethought. I give this guy props for coming prepared! I wonder if this will inspire some of you to follow the old girl scout, maybe boy scout too, saying of ALWAYS BE PREPARED!

I just couldn't stop laughing when I saw this! I am writing this in my Political Science night class bored out of my mind and to be honest I'm not even sure what else to say about this but I just really wanted to share it with all of you. Have a wonderful night all!

Big hugs <3 Kimmie

10 Ways to Cheer Yourself Up and Deal With Anxiety

Hey guys! So I wanted to do this post because I have been suffering from depression and sever anxiety as well as bi-polar for quite a while. But the biggest key is to just find things that cheer you up and make you feel relaxed.

1. Watch a Disney Movie (or really any "kid movie"). Nothing brings back that childhood enthusiasm and innocence like Disney. When you watch a Disney movie you can just feel like a little kid again, when everything was simple. Some of my favorite "kid" movies are Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Tangled and Treasure Planet.

2. Fluffy animals: Petting or cuddling with your pet is actually very therapeutic. A good alternative, Googling pictures of cute, baby, fluffy animals or watching YouTube videos (escaping panda!)

3. Get Comfy. Curling up with a stuffed animal, a cup of hot chocolate and reading a good book. This pulls you out of the real world and into a world of adventure or mystery or the supernatural, wherever the story takes you, it gives you an escape.

4. Meditate. Meditation is a very useful way to relieve stress and anxiety. Through meditation you basically are removing yourself from everything that is happening, removing yourself from your thoughts and just relaxing and allowing your mind to take a break amd sort through everything.

5. Take a bubble bath (or if you prefer a hot shower)! I know this sounds cheesy but bubble baths/showers will relax your muscles and allow you to ease back and take time for yourself. Remember, don't get caught up in thoughts about what made you upset, but try to clear your mind. And people actually do most of there thinking in the shower.

6. Build a Fort! When is the last time you built a fort out of couch cushions and random stuff around the house? Remember how fun it is to just be a little kid again and be silly and care free. Maybe even invite a friend to join you and have a paper airplane fight or pretend that you are warring kingdoms. Just have fun. (Building a fort blog post: click here!)

7. Watch Funny Videos. Three words: America's Funniest Videos! Or just go to YouTube. They say that laughter is the best medicine and I most certainly agree. After all, who can be sad after you just made your sides hurt from laughing? Laugh until you can feel six-pack abs coming in!

8. Ice Cream. I seriously, who can resist ice cream? Cuz I know I can't! Ice cream has to be
one of my favorite things in the world. Plus, chocolate releases endorphins in your brain, basically a "happy signal."

9. Non-depressing Music! One of the worst things to do when you are down is to listen to music that continues that trend! Put on some funny or silly music. Or even listen to kids music. My happy music is stuff like "If I didn't have you" from Quest for Camelot and the sho-be-do song from Tarzan

10. Blowing Bubbles. One thing I tend to do is go to the park nezt to my house and sit on oneof the swinfs and just vlow bubbles. It's a lot of fun and you can just relax and then race around popping the bubbles! Ha ha.

So the moral of this post is that when you are down or upset, do something that makes you happy, find something that makes you laugh. Don't let it get you down! You havepeople who care about you and think that you are an amazing person. Don't be afraid to shine and when things seem at their lowest, just remember to smile!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

My aunt, boyfriend Johnny and I went to the see Cloudy with a Chance 2 after they picked me up from college to come home for the weekend. I absolutely loved the movie! It was entertaining, funny, and also it had a really good moral behind it. I thought it was really awesome how they referenced other movies like King Kong and Jurassic Park.

The movie picks up directly where the first one ends and is about the machine creating food animals. However, we probably all know that by now. The movie's main message is about doing the right thing and staying true to who you are. I feel like today kids don't get that message enough so I loved that it had such a positive message all while making you laugh!

On another note, I thought the food animals were adorable and I totally want a taking animated strawberry now! Ha ha ha!
In case, by some mysterious cause, you haven't seen the trailer, here ya go:
