Poetry Saturday - Butterflies

Source

Butterflies in my stomach as you smile at me with your small crooked smile,
You snake your arms around my waste and pull me close. I can't help but feel safe inside your strong protecting arms.
I'm scared because I don't know what could happen, but I know what I want to happen.
I hold my breath as your face is just a few inches from mine. I look hesitantly at you as your brown eyes look down studying me.
I send a silent prayer that you can't see my butterflies, but that you can see how badly I want you to feel the same.
We sway gently to the music playing, but standing on the dance floor, looking into your transfixing eyes, the world seems to fade and all I can think about is what I can't help feel for you.
Butterflies fill me and I just want to spend the night in your arms, close you, wishing that butterflies fill you too.

WPC: Max

Hey guys, since I already covered all the pets I own, I wanted to show you some of the pets my "somewhat-step mom" has...

This is Max, he is some kind of pitbull and he is fairly young, I think only about a year. For a while he was blind because of the way his eye lids developed the lashes would scratch his eyes if he opened them (don't know all the details). But they got it fixed and he is a happy loving dog and when I was up visiting my dad and Des for Thanksgiving I woke up to Max in my bed. It was pretty fun.

Have a good week <3 Kimmie

Poetry Saturday - My Love

I'm not sure if this is a poem per say but I really love just imagining scenes in my head and writing them  in a poetic and beautiful way. Hope you enjoy!

"The sun shines in softly through the window as a gentle breeze dances with the sheer white drapes. As I stretch out my sleeping muscles, I hear a soft moan beside me. My dearest love snuggles closer to me and lays her head upon my chest as she sleepily wraps her arms around me. A small flash of light catches my eye, the shimmering of the ring on her left hand and I feel my heart swell with love. I can't help but smile at her sweet innocence. As I look upon her face, soft, delicate features, she looks so peaceful, no trace of any of the pain she has suffered through. A small tendril of hair falls across her face and my arm instinctively move to brush it behind her ear. I just think how incredible it is, how we fit together so perfectly, how we found peace together and that we found each other. I draw her up in my arms as she opens her tired eyes and looks up at me with those brilliant crystal blue orbs that always hold me in amazement. I gently lift her chin, drawing her lips to mine. I love this woman. She is my heart, my soul, my very existence. I could never survive without her."

Weekly Pet Challenge: Week 2 - The Ferrets

Hi guys! Welcome to week two of my pet round up! I'm excited to share this with you! Like I said last week I am doing the posts of my animals in the order that I got them and next on the list is my ferrets a.k.a. fuzzbutts!

Meet Kiki (the white one, girl) and Zero (the black one, boy). We changed their names when we got them (but still use their original names as nicknames from time to time) they were originally named Sweetheart and Captian Pebbles lol.

I love these two even though they can be pains in the butt, especially when Zero becomes an escape artist and I wake up to see him crawling around.

Enjoy the cuteness!
(posted these two pictures in my post about when we first got them.)

this is a picture of Kiki in my pocket lol

sorry that these are sideways but I hope you enjoy! <3 Kimmie

Meet the Newest Member of the Clark Family!!!

So I have been meaning to publish this for a while now and I just finally got it up! But,  have a new addition to our family, meet Kitsu!
(this picture was from the night we found him). We found him yowling outside our house. We had seen him following people around before. He is a 4-6 month old male kitty and we figured out that he was dumped at the park next to our house.

When we took him in he was a lot skinnier than he is now and as soon as we gave him food he started woofing it down! It made me so sad to think that someone would dump such a small kitten. We think the reason they might have was because he is going to be a bit kitty!
He has since fallen in love with me and Johnny (my boyfriend.) And I've figured out he loves sleeping with me! As shown by the pictures at the end.

However, within a couple days of having him he was attacked by a dog and was bitten down to the bone on his tail. He was not happy because he had to stay in a carrier crate for about a week and was a sattalite disk kitty. I couldn't find any pictures of him with the dish but he was so pittiful looking it was just funny and cute!

Funny fact: he now has a perminent mini kink in his tail so we nick-named him "Kinky" Kitsu. I know, it sounds like a bad stripper name!

Good news is that he is all better now. He still has a few fleas from his time at the park but he is a lot happier and I think he is glad he has a home because he acts more relaxed and isn't constantly freaked out by being picked up.

To prove he likes sleeping with me...(Johnny took these photos while I was asleep and woke up to them on my phone hahaha)
This is just a goofy picture of him with his paw on my face lol
Kistu just chilling on my chest when I fell asleep on the coutch!
And him hiding under the blankets next to my butt! hahaha he is such a goof!

ANIMAL ANIMALS ANIMALS

So this post is all about the pets that I really want. However, unfortunately the first three are all illegal for purchase in California :( But onto the cuteness!

1. Sugar gliders: are small marsupials that are closely related to flying squirrels. They are mostly nocturnal creatures and eat fruit and yogurt and glider pellet food. They are very codependent animals and they require you to spend a lot of time with them and they bond to usually one person. They can fit in your pocket or purse and will just chill there. Believe it or not they actually bark at you for attention! They are so adorable and tiny and I just want to put it in my pocket :) My boyfriend and I want to get two and name them Momo (after the flying lemur in Avatar the Last Air Bender) and Icarus (after the flying squirrel in Nemo's Adventures in Slumberland.)

2. Hedgehog: ok if you don't know what a hedgehog is then you have been living under a rock! Domesticated hedgehogs like warm climates (above 72 degrees) eat mostly insects but domestic diets include cat food, meal worms, cooked unseasoned meat, fruits and vegetables. They are still scared of predators  such as humans but they are mostly acclimated to being house pets now. And I mean come on just look at em!

3. Fennec Fox: OMG WOULD YOU LOOK AT THOSE EARS!!! I just want to pet them!!!! SO CUTE!!! Ha ha ha. Fennec foxes are smaller nocturnal foxes that originated in the Sahara of Northern Africa. They normally live in burrows dug out in the sand. They act like a mix of a dog&cat. "They are a ball of energy 15% of the time, snuggly 20% of the time and asleep the rest." They are pretty easy going and like to bond much like sugar gliders.

So yeah, those are my "exotic pet wants." Big interweb hugs! Hope I showed you a little cuteness :)
